What Happens in Aeneid Book 7
The Trojans arrive in Latium, where King Latinus rules peacefully. Aeneas seeks an alliance, and Latinus is open to welcoming him after recalling a prophecy about his daughter Lavinia marrying a foreigner. However, the goddess Juno intervenes, determined to block Aeneas’s destiny. She summons the Fury Allecto, who spreads anger and suspicion among the Latins, turning potential peace into conflict.
